TrefwoordPunk (371), Leiden, Netherlands Mar 16, 2008 Bottle 2 L, has been cellared for 8 years. Pours a yellowish golden with a medium white head and a sweet caramelly honey smell. The flavor is sweet and a bit spicey too, with a bit of bitterness (hoppy or spicey) in the finish. Still nice after all those years JorisPPattyn (4500), Antwerpen, Belgium Dec 9, 2003 (fairly aged sample)Orange with pink shine, quite carbonated and faint haze, deposit somewhat in suspension; good yellowish white head, not stable. Warm honeyish nose, faint oxydation, nut butter; Sweet taste, but not overmuch. Alltime the typical honey flavour is apparent. This beer is made with addition of elderflower and limeblossom, so this makes sense. Retronasal I get a faint vegetable-bitterness. Rather thinnish texture, as honey dissolved in water. Certainly not a great beer, just a pleasing nice uncomplexed spiced ale. jbrus (4184), Delft, Netherlands Oct 9, 2001 Sweet and hops. thijs van vlijmen (256), Utrech, Netherlands Aug 23, 2001
