De Klok now available on bottle too, exclusively in the C1000 chain of supermarkets. I hadn’t tried it before because it was available in cans and to be honest since it’s just a tribute beer I didn’t think it would be any different from the usual Grolsch. Igot this one in a trial package containing two bottles, costing me 50 cents for both.So let’s see.
Bottle of 300 ml. Colour is golden yellow, with two finger head, lots of bubbles in the glass. The head looks a bit soapy but it has a very good retention.
It has a weird smell, I can’t put my finger on it, reminds me very faintly of corn but it can’t be it.
Taste is quite different than the usual Grolsch Pilsener, more sweet and more hoppy. Not so bad.
On the body is thin and it has light carbonation.
Overall I find it to be a cheap alternative to the normal Grolsch, that’s all.

Can 0,5ltr: Clear blond coloured brew with an very dull taste buy it under the name Grolsch De Klok Blond.

Sample back at base camp, Utrecht. The pour’s deep gold with a small head. The nose is cardboard, some honeyed grain, light skunky herb and wild grass, The taste is honeyed breakfast cereal, piss, a touch of yeast. Light body, active carbonation. Overall, not particularly enjoyable. Meh.

Strohblondes Bier mit viel Schaum. Sehr süßmalziges Aroma. Geschmacklich ist es mir zu süß geraten. Der Hopfen im Abgang ist auch mit ner Metallnote. Insgesamt sehr sperrig und überhaupt nicht lecker!

Golden yellow with small foam head. Taste is sweet caramel bitter with short bitter aftertaste. Drinking this on camping in Basel 201207.

Golden 2 light. Light pee away from light. Little carbination burst a few times. Just makes 2 finger head. Smell is malted barley,caramel,citrucy well light smell. Taste is water,smooth caramel like. Light hop feel. Little citrucy mabye. Just allright.

Bottle @ ZZT 4 called De Klok. Pale yellow, white head. Smells malty, grainy. Tastes decent pils. Thin body.

330ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a 2 finger white head that has some decent retention and leaves a few spots of lacing. Aroma is light fruits with some grains and spicy hops. Taste is grainy with some light fruit and a mild hop bitterness. A pretty nice light lager style brew with a premium quality, should be listed as premium lager.

Dieser Niederländer ist sehr Schaumig und ziemlich mild und wässrig, das einzige Aroma das man herausschmeckt ist ein leicht säuerlicher Geschmack.
