2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a golden beer with a good white head. Smells pretty standard. The taste is more bitter then others which is good. It has a dry texture.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: NOV 8, 2013 Grolsch is without doubt my favourite mass market lager. Strong aroma, thick and creamy head that stays around, a beautiful deep golden colour, well carbonated - but not too much (like some other lagers) - a lovely malty sweetness with a well balanced bitterness with a bit of a bite and kick to it. People often compare it to Heineken but I think it has a bit more oomph and flavour. Easy drinking for a 5% lager as well. Not too bad on hangovers compared to certain other similar strength beers! It may not be the most complicated or fancy lager/pilsner in the world but it does what it does extremely well. If anyone from Grolsch is reading this I’ve bought that much of it I reckon I deserve a free crate from the brewery - cheers :-)

not to bad... but there are a LOT!! better pils. they use a new 3th generation hop? that’s what I think... that’s why they use a green/light bottle. good thing is that the bottle looks cool! great for home brewers.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle (45 cl). Pours a small, white head that disappears pretty fast. Hoppy aroma with some fruits. Taste is also hoppy, a nice bitterness and again some fruits. Watery palate. Very good for a for standard lager.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2013 Liefst uit 0,45l beugel, een van de smaakvollere Nederlandse pilsbieren. Je proeft gras en hop smaken, heeft een redelijke body en een klein bittertje in de afdronk.

500 ml. tall can purchased in Ladysmith, B.C. Pours a golden yellow- sudsy and frothy white head. Aroma is corn, bread malts. Taste is corn, cereal grains, citrus, faint hops, grass, some pepper, wheat. Not much on the palate, wheat notes, little bit of grass, and apple. Oily body and medium-lively mouthfeel. Not tons of flavour- and a weak palate, but it somehow has a very crisp, smooth, clean taste. Very refreshing on a hot day.

Great aroma! Love the crisp taste. I’m kind of an oddball in that I absolutely love skunky beers and this is the best.

Nice aroma upon opening. A very good tasting beer with just about anything. And to top it off - a nice bottle if you brew your own.
