450ml swing-top green bottle pours a clear golden color with a moderate white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is grassy and skunky without much hops presence. Taste is on the sweet side with a finish thatís not quite bitter, but not metallic either. Body is light with low carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Iím surprised I havenít rated this one until now. I first tried it underage when it was the decided favorite of a prep school classmate. It was also a favorite of my wife. All I can say is that it is the best macro-lager from the Netherlands. Iíll try it again when someone offers me one, or if there isnít anything more interesting to order at a restaurant.

Limitowana puszka, Piwo żůłte, o małej pianie, szybko spada. Brak śladůw na kuflu. Niesamowicie przejrzyste. Fajny trawiasty aromat. Bardzo ożeźwiający. Karbonacja średnio wysoka. Lekko gorzki finisz. Szkoda tej piany, poza tym to bardzo przyjemne. Urzekł mnie aromat, ktůry dość długo się utrzymuje.

Bottle to English pint glass, pours clear golden, thin white head. No lacing or retention. Aroma of grass and skunk. Taste is a little sweet, grassy bitter, metallic. Light bodied, fizzy large bubble carbonation, thin mouth feel. Finishes dry. It has that European green bottle taste. Iíve had worse.

BOTTLE 50 CL by Efes Russia. Clear golden, white frothy to creamy head. Aroma starts with some nice bread and grass, but after a while all youíre left with is fusel. The taste is sweet, with lots of CO2, fusel and harsh phenolic bitterness. Light lagerish acidity. Pretty crappy.

Aroma: Bread-like malts that tend towards caramel; the aroma hops are very faint and have a little grassy, earthy character. Appearance: Gold pour with thin wisps of carbonation, the head is white and quickly fades into a faint ring. Flavor: Caramel more apparent up front with some bread seeping in midway through; some grass makes itís way in toward the finish, which dries out a touch. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: One could do worse in the world of imported Euro macro lagers. Not one Iíd seek out for another purchase, but I wouldnít reject it again if offered from a friend.
