3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Review No. 300. Beautiful green ornamental bottle. Rich golden pour, lively carbonation evident, soapy/airy white head. Smells of sweet malt with a hint of grass, surprisingly not skunked. Watery but good bitterness, clean, grassy, slightly malty. Harsh with large gulps, not so with sips. A little boring, I’ll concede, but this particular bottle was by no means bad.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear straw with a shortlived white head, decent lacing. Pleasant hoppy notes but the aroma is very weak. Taste is dominated by carbonation sourness with light malty notes and light bitterness on finish. Overcarbonated, waterry.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2016 500 ml can. Pours clear pale golden with a white head, which disappeared entirely after half a can. Aroma is malty, hint of dough and hay. Taste is malty, grainy with a slightly bitter hoppy finish. Average carbonation, easy to drink. Decent lager, but boring.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tolerable lager. A bit stronger in flavor than American lagers. Grain and a touch of hop. Not worth further examination and typing.

One of the big brands in Holland. Traditionally popular in the eastern regions where it is made. One of the best industrial pilsners, but industrial.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
0,45l bottle. Clear golden colour with quickly disappearing white head. Aroma: Fresh grassy, hay with notes of caramel and flour. Taste: Light malty sweet start with a light/medium pleasent bitter mouthfeel. Not bad, better than the average mass produced lagers. Light body with medium carbonation. Medium lasting bitter and dry finish. Okey one.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
I drank this beer at several oportunities when I stayed in England. It is an industrial lager, it is not the worst one, drinkable. The body is yellow, regular carbonation, thin and white foam. The taste is malty, some hop, a bit watery, well-balanced.

En meget ordinær øl fra Grolsch. At den er drukket i Amsterdam på en sensommerdag gør øllen lidt bedre.

Free beer is always good beer and this wasn’t bad as macro lagers go. Grainy and sweet but quite drinkable.
