The classic flip-top bottle and served in a pint glass: Light golden straw hue with a fading fizzy head and spotty lace. The aroma has mild grassy noble hops, hint of cereal and husky malts, moderate DMS and adjunct, and some mineral water. The taste is mild bitterness and some acidity over a blanket of spent grains with some veggie twang towards the finish. At least this has some semblance of flavor versus what I just subjected my taste buds to. The mouth feel is sprite and refreshing but there is a chalky and metallic character about the aftertaste. Well, at least I can finish this bottle but once again another memory of youth ruined. Proves you can never go back to swilling days once you have trained your palate for something better.

Jul 15, 2008 This lager has a cult status in the eastern part of Holland. I doubt it’s because of the fine taste. From tap, this is probably as bad as it’s going to get. Skunky smell, skunky flavour as well, makes you say "yuck!" . Dry, but not because of the fine hops. Your mouth runs dry after the first few sips, but that doesn’t make you thirsty for more. Tastes a lot better from a swingtop bottle, nevertheless one of the worst Dutch lagers.

Jul 14, 2008 Aroma of wet bread. Foam on the lighter side, not long lasting. Flavor is pronounced malt and yeast with unremarkable hop finish. Sits well on the tongue, but is not full or particularly clean. Most of the price of this beer must be for the cool cap.

Jul 10, 2008 12 oz bottle - smells kind of funky; almost like the beer is stlil brewing - fresh barley/hops. Looks pretty decent. I guess it’s OK for its’ style and price. I probably won’t buy again.

Jul 8, 2008 There is a lemony, grassy, and hoppy aroma to this pilsner. The head is fluffy but diminishes and the beer is a very light gold color, and is clear. The taste is dry with flavors of apple with bitter hops, and is slightly salty. The beer is pretty thin but easy to drink.

Golden, good head. Nice malty aroma, citrusy. Well balanced taste with european hops. One of the better lagers.
