Bottle: Pale to "dirty" golden, hazy, medium-sized quite stable off-white head; sweetish wheaty-yeasty nose; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, soft, medium bodied; a light acidity detectable in the yeasty-wheaty finish. Decent, but also "streamline" Weizen........

Draft in Hengelo, Netherlands. Pours a hazy, glowing, yellowish golden hue. A tall, foamy, snow white head settles slowly to a thin film, leaving a soapy wash to mostly rejoin the body. The aroma shows banana esters, lemon zest, and doughy, bready yeast over a nearly neutral, lightly sweet wheat malt base. Flavors follow suit, light citrus essences peeking through a clean, glazed wheat grain base, with hints of banana. Thin and watery on the palate, with moderate carbonation, it’s easy to drink a ton of it. Decent hot weather session beer, but otherwise completely forgettable.

Bottle. A hazy, orange-yellow beer with an off-white head. Slightly sourish, wheaty nose with banana, some citrus and hops. The flavor is dominated by banana, with some cloves, wheat and a little bitterness. Too short finish, but appropriate bitterness. Medium body, effervescent. A decent hefe-weizen, nothing more. 090619

Bottled, 500ml from Sainsburys in Folkestone. Hazed gold with white head. All the classic wheat beer flavours are apparant, banana, spice, clove, citrus but it all seems a bit forced and false. The flavours are heavy and dominant. I’m not over keen on this one.
