a new weizen contender from a big name. this pours a cloudy yellow-light orange with the big white, frothy head. mouthfeel is smooth, buttery and very soft. flavour is sweet, some buttery hint, banana but not much citric kick. most noticeable thing about this one is that velvety, soft feel.

Swing top bottle 450 ml
Appearance: Mild haze on amber red sun with presentable creamy, stoic if you wish white crown.
Nose Strong classic wheat character similar to other well know samples from Germany. Soft light fruity with ripe lightly citric but not sourness. Freshly baked baguette with hint of orange peel.7+
Flavor/Palate : Vanilla with fresh banana , light yeasty bottom. Slight spice on top , grainy filler and eastery finish. Stylistically near perfect weizen.f-7+

I tried this beer on May 31, 2008 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO outlet in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a hazy orange gold colour with a huge foamy head. The aroma was wheat, some malt, and some spicy notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, slippery, and mildy carbonated. The flavour is wheaty with some sweet banana and malt hints

courtesy of Laurent Mousson (WBA) - hazy pale orange colour, almost no foam left; aroma of wheat and apples; good malt body, high carbonation which brings some tartness to balance the sweetness; quite dry wheaty and fizzy finish - a nice one

450ml fliptop bottle, 5.3% a/v Pours a dense hazy gold colour with a very generous head. The aroma is very rich and spicy with the main notes being cloves, coriander and citrus. There is also a bit of banana and sweet candy in there. The taste is much of the same in the mouth and is very nice weizen, and for a reasonable price at that. The mouthfeel is very full and the aftertaste is delicious. For the price, I will be returning soon to buy alot more bottles.

450 ml bottle - cloudy gold on the pour with a frothy white head that leaves some chunky lace. Aroma pretty typical for a hefe - banana, some faint citrus, a soft spiciness, bubblegum. More of the same in the flavour though the body is a bit thin and watery, not as full as I like in a hefe, though very soft and ultra-smooth. A good, solid intro to the style though, and a nice offering from this brewer.

Swing top liter. Pale clouded yellow with a decent puffy cap great lacing. Light clove-banana aroma with a nice wisp of sweet malt. Velvety mouth feel, good body, ample toasty wheat tastes mingle with fruit and spice and a lemony tartness and drying in the finish. Color me impressed...a decent enough hefe for a commercial brewer..mild, smooth and approachable.

450 mL bottle. (bb 14/12/08) Hazy orange gold with a small but persistent white head. The usual spicy babana-clove aroma. The flavour begins the same, but tails off into a thin sweetness about half way through. Appropriately carbonated. A nice summer beer, but for the finish.
