450mL bottle. Pours a cloudy light gold, with a big fat head. Decent bubblegum aroma. This style can often have a light taste, but I tend to prefer the ones that are a bit more pronounced. This one falls on the light end of the spectrum, although it’s certainly decent.

[1567-20080803] 450mL bottle. Wheatie yeast aroma has a bit of toasted mild fruit skins. Hazy, medium orange body with a long-lasting foamy white head. Wheatie yeast continues in the flavour with sweetness. Medium body. Refreshing.

450 ml bottle from LCBO, served cold in a Weizen glass.

App.: Cloudy orange-gold with a tight white meringue. Aroma: Oranges and citrus, sweet, light esters of banana and tropical fruit, a touch tangy, some brown sugar, a little yeast, quite fruity. Palate: Medium-ish body, moderate effervescence. Flav.: Yeast and dough are more pronounced, tropical fruits, particularly pineapple, light citrus, light honey; dry with a bit of a fruity finish and a touch of banana esters.

Not quite typical for a Hefe-Weizen, but enjoyable.

Cloudy orangy gold, large tight head. Sweet banana aroma at first, then a bit dusty. Quite fizzy carbonation, not harsh. Soft wheaty base, gentle hops, and banana. Refreshing and very solid hefe.

Enjoyed this. Clean, white head, course bubbles. Very aromatic. Sweet flavour. Not as robust as Edelweiss or Weihenstephaner.
