Bottle (500ml - brown swing-top). Pale hazy gold pour, average fizzy diminishing white head (3+ ... too wan to be a 4/5). Aroma - classic hefe, heavy banana ester and floral hops - heavy sweet malt. Taste- same, very malty, a little thin. Soft, lightly carbonated mouthfeel, malty, with a sweet fruity linger. Like it, didn’t love it - ultimately a little too thin.

Fresh wheat aroma, spice and a bit of banana, fine hazy yellow/gold, short lived white head. Big taste of wheat, some cloves, then a smidge of banana. Light bodied, very well balanced, spicy, quite tasty. Terrific! Much better than expected!

[bottle from Antonio] Sweet, inviting banana cream pie aroma with lemon and clove. Murky orangish brown with a thick, white foam merangue topping. Sweet base malt flavour with delicate bubblegum and clove and only a tiny taste of banana. Dry finish and no bitterness. Medium to light body with not enough carbonation (especially for this style) and a tingly afterfeel.

Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, rich lively head. Fruity phenolc nose. Sweet with raspberry and banana esters. Vanilla and wheat malt character covered by thin layers of syrup. A correctly made, refreshing weizen, surprisingly good for a big brewer!

Bottle from the LCBO. Hazy yellow-orange with a large white head that recedes pretty quickly. Mild but appealing aroma of banana, cloves, lemon and wheat. Medium body with a creamy finish. Flavour holds a good amount of banana and spice, with hints of lemon and yeast. Finish is a bit short, but generally, this is a pretty nice weizen.

Light hazy gold colour with white head. Mild aroma of citrus and dusty yeast. Mild flavour of banana fruit and a smooth palate. Refreshing but lacking.

Bottle (450ml). Pours a hazy bubbly yellow with a huge frothy white head. Decent mild aroma of banana, wheat, spices, citrus and yeast -- smells better then I expected, so far so good. Flavour of banana first and foremost followed by wheat, spices and yeast -- a little sweet and banana-ey for my liking but it still goes down pretty easy. Decent body for the style. Not bad for a Grolsch beer, it’s not a world-beater but it’s better then anything I’ve had from them in the past and a good version of the style.

50cl bottle from Morrisons - ABV 5.3%. Cloudy amber with a soft off-white head; good banana and spice aroma as expected; lievely in the mouth, smooth and creamy with a good wheaty feel; clean aromatic finish. Excellent.
