Bottle at home. Pale yellow, clear, with a decent white head. Notes of caramel, bread, hay, floral hops, yeast. Medium body, high carbonation and a bitter-sweet finish.

Swing top bottle 33cl. Cloudy pale amber color, one finger fluffy off-white head, recedes slowly, good lacing; hoppy nose, lemon peel, yeast, basement, herbal hops, coriander; taste moderate bittersweet, citrus/acidic notes; full body, oily texture, average carbonation, lingering dry hoppy bitter finish, herbal notes (juniper, coriander), bit dusty; overall not like a real tripel but more a strong ale. PS Label says Constantinus Kruisheren Herfstbock but it was clear from the first pour and sniff that this was the Augustinus...

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy orangy color, small off-white head. Aroma is malts, some hops surprisingly, and even more surprisingly some fruityness. Decent body and carbonation. Way better than expected anyway.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy yellow colour with a medium to full sized white head. Smells malts, herbs. Really bizarre smell. Tastes herbs, malts, sweetish, a hint of overripe fruits. Taste isn?t too bad. Medium body, soft to medium carbo.

Bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. An almost clear beer, golden in color, and with a nice, off-white finger-thick head. Cellarish nose with plums and sugar. Sweet, slightly malty flavor with a little caramel. Quite fruity. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated, but with a papery feeling. A quite decent beer, but with a slighlty unpleasant mouthfeel. 091024

Bottle, bought @ Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam.
Serious gusher (but I was fast!). Pours hazy orange, lots of bubbles. Giant, staying, frothy, off-white head. 2-3 cm above the rim of my glass. Aroma is mildly fruity, oranges, banana, green apple. Some yeasty notes and light alcohol. High, prickly carbonation, fair and kinda dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, light malty, some cucumber, grassy, oranges and light vinious. Apricot and fair sweetness. Good, but the cucumber notes are a bit funny.
