Bottle from LIC. Pours dark amber with a small fizzing off white head that disappears fast. Almost no aroma besides some sweet malts. Taste is instantly sweet, malty but with no real depth or bitterness to it. However the mouthfeel is smooth and soft, making it quite drinkable. - with thirst, Niklas

Pours a dark amber color, clear, topped with a couple of fingers of beige head that imeddiately disappears. Pleasant malty aroma is complemented by a tiny amount of caramel. The taste starts slightly sweet, followed by nicely balanced body, coming together with a slight bitterness and a bit of fruity feel. A nice bittery aftertase sticks for some time. Nicely enjoyable. Been looking for that one for some time, so thanks Erzengel.

Dark brown amber-colour in the glass, white-beige head. The beer starts mild-sweetish. The mainpart is malt, slightly sweet, creamy-smooth. The aftertaste is medium-long, smooth-malty and nice caramel sweet. --> solid! 12/12/10/10

Bottle, with the lovely company of Jimthechap and Mrs Jimthechap. This was an interesting looking amber lager, with an incredibly skunky nose, actually puting this below the beers from Cyprus and Turkey, which were enjoyed in the same evening. One would think that the Danish element would have given this local beer a plus. Well, the beer was nice red amber and the flavour was not bad, nice and malty, with biscuits and a touch of smokiness. There’s little I can say about the body, which felt just like an ordinary lager type of thing.

My grateful thanks to Cantabrian for bringing this beer over. Somewhat of a misnomer this one as we were expecting beer entirely produced on the big island. This beer was the colour of kauri gum with a fast dissipating off-white head. There was little hopping and a biscuity, syrupy aroma. To taste, it wasn’t immediately sweet before candi-sugar and crystal malt flavours arose. My impression was that it was too sweet by half and had a shortish finish. A touch of spice at the end was a redeeming feature. Could be worse, but also could be a bloody sight better.
