Mittelteil malzig, moderat würzig, Schokolade. Abgang zunächst samtig, dunkles Malz, etwas würzig-bitter, klebt dann ein wenig, würzbitter, röstig nachwirkend. Überraschend gutes Bier. Gefällt mir.

Very dark brown with small off-white head. Flavour is malts, dry, coffee, chocolate. Watery.

The head is ok, the body brown-red. It smells darkmalty, fruity. The taste is interesting, fruity, darkmalty, a bit honey, refreshing. Interesting and tasty! 11/10/11/11/14/11

500ml Bottle: picked up in Berlin. Poured twice into a bulbous ’Palm’ tulip @ home on 8 Mar 2013.
Dark and headless brew, initial pour produces some bubbles but they burst and go very swiftly: weird taste and smell too, Rotting veg and fruit came to mind at first.
Didn’t read any previous reviews and thought this would be a regular Lager/Pilsner: shows what I know!
Dandilion and Burdock: that’s the old feeling I got from this.
As a one off it’s different and I suppose interesting: I’d not want a session on it though. Burping juice with some hidden alcohol.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Pours in nearly black with a nice coffee aroma. Taste is very porterstyle and in the end this is a delicious beer.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Beautiful bottle releases a dark brown coloured beer with a steady head and smooth body. Nose of malt. Taste of rich malt, pepper, coriander, light coffee and mild hops. Tastes like a (Baltic?) Porter. It is very nice regarding that the breweries Amber Lager is so awful.

Dunkelbraunes Bier mit hellbraunem Schaum. Ein würziges Aroma vom dunklen Malz, leicht röstig. Trotz der 6% Alk. recht dünner Antrunk. Im Geschmack einem Münchner Dunkel ähnlich, wenn auch insgesamt etwas süßer geraten. Nice.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2012 Bottle at the Delirium Café, Brussels. Dark and opaque - almost black with a reddish tint and with a small head. Aroma is sweet, malty with some Christmas pudding mix. Some orange, marzipan and liquorice in the taste; however, the sweetness is restrained enough to make it very drinkable. I really enjoyed this.

Bottle at Delirium Café. Pours black with a creamy tan "Guinnesss" head. Aroma is dark roast malt with dark fruit. Med body. Flavor is something like nutmeg - but seems like the flavor found in German strudel. There’s also dark roast malt and fruit. Sort of a lightly spiced dunkel. Also suggests a variation on pumpkin pie. Pretty drinkable.

Pours a clear and dark reddish beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, caramel, fruit, raisin and acetone. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall a beer below average.
