Golden lager with blue eyes.... just kidding. Golden lager with a thin white head. Light DMS sulfur aroma with cat urine...or is it pig urine. In mouth, a light crisp malt, very short, with mineral notes. Pig water. Bottle bought at Joanette, 1.79$, available in 12 pack with a bag of chips...Gros co’hon.

Bottle (12oz - clear). I’m just sure this will be awesome; "big pig" beer. Pours clear amber-gold, small fizzy head. Cheap light caramel corn aroma, stale grain, harsh - frankly smells very cheap. Taste is harsh, corny and I don’t want to drink it. Watery, burningly fizzy mouthfeel, an aftertaste that is nowhere near as ugly as I figured it would be, but this is still pretty cheap stuff - serve it to your more discerning "Wildcat" drinkers.

Lightly sweet creamed corn aroma. Clear golden body topped by a light, white, fully diminishing head. Creamed corn is notable in the sweet flavour as well. Some husky grains. Fairly typical macro lager flavour. Light body with short-lived, hard bubbled carbonation. Lager glass. Fridge temperature. Joanette (Jun-06).

Bottle shared with and courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear bubbly yellow-amber with a small diminishing white head. Aroma of sweet malt, yeast and faint brown sugar. Watery malty flavour along with some grain and hops. Medium bodied. Man, this was nowhere near as bad as we expected.

Amber-gold beer comes in a clear glass bottle. Pours with a modest head that doesn’t hang around long. Grainy and faintly metallic aroma (despite coming from a bottle-- disappointing). Fairly bland palate in line with most macros, with a hint of earthy hop character that came forward more as this warmed (it made me think of a very watered down english bitter, without the malt and with only about a tenth the hop character). More interesting in appearance and in character than most macro pale lagers, but in the end disappointing.

(Rating #516)

Boutip (3467) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 5, 2006
Bottle: Poured a light brown color beer with a small head with minimal retention. Aroma of sweet malt is a bit weak. Taste is dominated by semi-sweet malt with no discernable hops. I have tasted worse macro lager then this but this is still by no mean a great beer.

Malty nose, dark amber, pours two fingers of off-white head, pretty lace too. Rough malt taste, grainy, a bit harsh, bordering on a malt liquor.

Bottle courtesy of my good beer hunting buddy - as he said to me, he likes to try and find beers for the first page of my ratings or last page, and this one seemed to be a pretty good candidate for the last page - clear bottle, pig, "Blue Eyes Lager"? Check! Anyway, shared it with Blankboy. Dark yellow, small white head. Slightly grainy aroma, surprisingly not skunky. Taste features light alt adn even some hops, and again, nothing off about it. In fact, as far as pale lagers go, it was drinkable, and better than the lighter offerings from Appalachian we had earlier. Sorry Red, you’ll have to try harder for a crazy crappy beer for me, blue eyes and pig label notwithstanding!

pale yellow in color, basic lager, nothing special. Cool name, but overall awful. yuck!
