Originally rated April 2006. This one came with a free big bag of chips, also called Gros Cochon, and are an imitation of Miss Vickies’ black pepper and lime. Great promo... and the guy at the convient store told me this was a new product they had just received a few days prior. Not much information anywhere on this brewery. Pours a golden-amber colour with a white foamy head. This one dissipates at an average pace and leaves spotted lacing. Lively carbonation, but not too crazy, leaving a cap over the brew. The nose is malty with some good bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel that is slightly creamy. The taste though is a watered-down corn syrup with a little metallic aftertaste. The chips finally tasted better. If you find this promo, try and get the six-pack instead... now I am stuck with 11 bottles of these.

Ok, I must of picked up a bad batch. This beer had absolutely no smell, (actually there was a skunky smell to it) appearance is typical of Pale lager, had no taste at all. I’ll have to re-rate this beer again.

Clear golden yellow. Grassy, hay, lemony nose with grains. Sweet grains with tonic water and grassy hops with lime is the flavour profile. The finish is slightly watery, but assertive with carbonation. Ok. I expected worse with the clear bottle. Bottle 341 ml.

Bottle shared with and courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear bubbly yellow-amber with a small diminishing white head. Aroma of sweet malt, yeast and faint brown sugar. Watery malty flavour along with some grain and hops. Medium bodied. Man, this was nowhere near as bad as we expected.

Bottle courtesy of my good beer hunting buddy - as he said to me, he likes to try and find beers for the first page of my ratings or last page, and this one seemed to be a pretty good candidate for the last page - clear bottle, pig, "Blue Eyes Lager"? Check! Anyway, shared it with Blankboy. Dark yellow, small white head. Slightly grainy aroma, surprisingly not skunky. Taste features light alt adn even some hops, and again, nothing off about it. In fact, as far as pale lagers go, it was drinkable, and better than the lighter offerings from Appalachian we had earlier. Sorry Red, you’ll have to try harder for a crazy crappy beer for me, blue eyes and pig label notwithstanding!

Great name and logo. Straw colored body with corn flavors. Not a good tasting beer at all.

Amber-gold beer comes in a clear glass bottle. Pours with a modest head that doesn’t hang around long. Grainy and faintly metallic aroma (despite coming from a bottle-- disappointing). Fairly bland palate in line with most macros, with a hint of earthy hop character that came forward more as this warmed (it made me think of a very watered down english bitter, without the malt and with only about a tenth the hop character). More interesting in appearance and in character than most macro pale lagers, but in the end disappointing.
