Taste is initially slightly flat, later stronger minimally sweet caramel malty, with explicit toasty and nuttily notes, soft and smooth.

It’s dark amber with a light red hue and a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, caramel, hints of chocolate and the finish is dry and straw-like.

Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, nutty, chocolate notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long to average duration. Bügelverschlußflasche. Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, mid-sized stable off-white head. Sweetish-fruity nose with a good dash of roasted-malt. Moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied. Spicy bitter-sweet finish with a tinge of chocolate and woody hops in the aftertaste. Spicy, well balanced DUNKEL.............

(swing top bottle, 5.3%) Clear, mahogany colour with a thick light-beige foamy head. Slightly-sweet and and toasted malty nose with a touch of caramel, raisins and a light woody hoppy note, which seems to be typical for the Grosch brewery. Slightly roasty and hop-bitter flavour, toasted malty taste with caramel and subtle fruity accents of raisins; rather dry and toasty finish with a moderate woody hoppy touch. Nice and mild Dunkel (10.X.08).
