Pours a dark reddish brown color with a small to medium sized light brown head. Nose is sour, fruity, and somewhat alcoholic. Taste is a tad bitter, fruity, sweet, malty, and dry. Not a full of a taste as I usually would like but it is super smooth and has a very nice mouthfeel.

From thebelgianaleshop.com (european bottle version). Aroma is strong undercurrents of candi sugar, wet grass, caramel, plum. Flavor has the same qualities, complimented with a firm malt midsection. Im glad this isnt overdone with alcohol. So much character here to ruin with an obscene amount of strength. A great beer, only wish I could have it aged.

Pour is a brown with a large tan head. Aroma is yeast and spice with an intense candi sugar. Flavor is again candi sugar but not to the extreme as in the aroma, also i get some molasses and caramel with a touch of dark fruit. An above par example of the style and something you could sip on for a long afternoon sitting outside on a chilly night.

Bottle(6.7%) from BevMo. Pours a dark amber color with a moderate off-white head. Nose is somewhat spiced and sour. Very prickly carbonation. Some roasted dark fruitiness along with some spices. Some roasted malts as well.

750 I got in an inperson trade in texas. Pours brown with a tan ring. Nose is full of yeast and spice. Taste is somewhat rich and sweet, a little eh for me, but not bad at all.

(bbe 24/12/07) Dark reddish brown, hazy, with lacy light beige head. Nose is a little sour with berries and exotic fruits, shows a really nice calvados aroma when it warmes up. Nicely hopped, even a bit Orval like. Flavor is dry and well hopped. Finishes with liquorice, spices and soft maltiness. Yeast softens things up, perhaps too much even. Medium bodied with strong foamy carbonation. Surprisingly refreshing.

Pours a dark golden brown to black with a thin filmy head. Caramel, chocolate, smoke, wheat bread, and candied malts in the aroma. Intensely sweet flavor at the tip of the tongue, like fruity candy followed by hearty wheat, with a smooth caramel finish. Palate is thin and watery and a little unbalanced.

Draught. Piercingly sweet artificial strawberry aroma. Dark ruby with white lacing from nearly no head. Fruity-sweet, nearly cloying and thin. Maybe a nice dessert beer, in small amounts, but otherwise not enjoyable.
