Bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a tight, very small head. Aroma is candi sugar and fruity yeast. Starts off fruity, moves on to a little bit of wood with a little sourness. Finishes with a bready/cinnamony astringency.

I had this beer once and thought it was the best. I had it at Eulogy in Philadelphia. It’s a great beer to have in the winter with a bowl of mussells. Get busy living or get busy dying.

Pours a fine head that falls into a thin layer with a very strong lacing made of millions of tiny bubbles that look pillowy. So many smells hit my palate from metalic to sweet smells. The taste and smell of the hops is very suttle, but it creates a little different flavor. Mouthfeel is very carbonated and a little smooth. It’s very watery on the tongue. The more and more you drink this beer, the less flavor and body there is.

As Pierre Celis Signature collection. Clear reddish brown, big rocky beige head. Nice tart and mildly fruity aroma. Firat flavors are tart, as well, with some earthy, woodsy bnotes. Nice sweet finish, with some sour notes.

Bottle. Tremendous brilliant pop from the cork. Body-dark honey with a quarter inch foamy head. Nose-candi sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, bready, light metal. Taste-light perfume, bready like a sourdough starter, light sweetens, sour on the back end, the unsweet portion of caramel, mostly dry, lightly woody, astringent on the tip of my tongue, some white spices, sharp and almost stinging (but not too much) CO2, light banana, creamy mouthfeel. A very subdued drinkable beer. I like the way the spices play out.

Bottle at Microbar, Clapham. Dry fruits and dates detected in the nose. Murky red and brown. Small head. Sprinkle of small carbonated ribbons. Soft mouth feel. Vinegar, sweet alcohol. Not bad a bit on astringent and chalky. One of the best looking beers out there but taste doesn’t quite match the looks.

Pours a very dark and opaque brown into the glass with a thick tan head. Sweet malty/caramel flavor. Delicious. On tap.
