Bottle. Brown colour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of yeast, spices and malt. The flavour is dry, yeasty and malty with notes of spices, citrus and some dark fruits. Medium bodied and quite smooth mouthfeel. Very tasty.

330 ml bottle. Cloudy orange-brown colour, off-white head that leaves some lacing. Very pleasant fruity and spicy aroma, with some yeast and a whiff of alcohol. The flavour is rather dry, fruity and spicy, with some bitterness and alcohol warmth in the finish.

Crushed with Jakebra. Good nose. Kinda fruity, little funky, a bit spicy. Flavor is similar but a little less than the nose. Very creamy and excellent mouthfeel. Dug it.

Bottle. Finally got to try this one. Dark brown color with a slight reddish tint. Typically large, foamy, Bernardus-like head that sticks around. Malt and yeast aroma. Sweet malty flavor that finishes dry with a caramel aftertaste. Also quite fruity, more than I expected. Nothing too intense though. Has a great texture, without being over-carbonated...like the other St. Bernard brews. An excellent beer. I will take the advice of others and age this one in the cellar. Can’t wait to re-rate it!

Doesn’t smeel that good, and I think the taste starts out good but then get’s a little cheap candy flavor. Sweet with a hint of red ale.

750ml bottle "Pierre Celis Signature Selection" looks exactly same as image but red label. Bought at Food Emporium summer of ’08. Pour is hued chestnut color. Nose is doughy with hints of malt. Taste of plum, molasses, and stained wood. Acidic alcoholic bitterness in the finish. A good dubbel

Murky brown to red, tiny offwhite head. Yeasty and mouldy aroma, like a cellar. It still has some fruity freshness in aroma. And maybe oat? Flavor has general grainyness and sweetness. Sort of crispy feel. Interesting.
