A hearty wheat aroma. A deep brown color that is somewhere between amber and chocolate. Pours a good head and leaves decent lacing on the side of the glass. A tad bitter with a gentle sour taste in the background.

Vintage 1996. Lots of dust sherry aromas in the nose. Deep copper colored body with no head at all. Very flat flavor, with some dark fruits and lots of sherry. I think its over the top because of the aging.

smooth and refreshing. a little weak on the rich velvet side, more carbonated and fizzy. I was not very impressed, still its not bad. redish amber color with a foamy white head.

Ruby brown colour. Slightly musty, corky aroma. Mature, rich, wine-like taste. Fizzy on the tongue but not in the mouth. Perfumed sweetness leading to more bitter aftertaste.

I wasn’t impressed by this beer at all. Too much mettalic flavors and the suprisingly low 6.5% is notiably and seems to bring out more of the metal.

Dark red brew, this one. It tastes very spicy and perfumed, in a rather nice combination. It is lighter ans fruitier than I would epect, and has a nice finish. Not the best I’ve had, but worth drinking at dinner table.

Looks like a lightly carbonated cherry cider, murky with red highlights. Thin firm head. Perfume and minerals, marshmellow and mold, yeast and earth, prune and caramel. Nice aroma. Lighter on the palate and spritzier than other Dubbels I’ve had. Fruity, yeasty flavors with date and spices. Slightly dirty and mildly bitter finish. Pretty good.

Pours a burnt orange color, BIG beige head! Nose is candy sweet, I am reminded of Sweetarts for some reason. It is a MUST to wait for this to warm - a mediocre dubbel transforms into a good at the right temp. Once warmed, flavors of raisin and date come through. Gets smoother, too. Much lighter flavors than most dubbels. Good, but I won’t go looking for this one again.
