| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 6, 2005 Aroma: hops, apple, malt, yeast, sourish and spicy like food, soap.
Dark, dsoft brown, like slightly pale raisins, beige head.
Burnt, bitter, fresh, and original, sourishly hoppy.
Reminds me of Delirium Nocturnum and Tremens.
Frissy, like a resonant bass without cutoff, but SOFT.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 31, 2005 A disappointment. There is spice here, and deep dark bread, but the beer seems dull and heavy. Perhaps not enough carbonation to lift the body out of its dough-malt torpor. I like the suggestion of darker fruits in the background--some plums, raisins, and dates, but they aren’t prominent enough to make this beer bright. The beer poured a very dark brown color with a large light tan head. The aroma is faintly sweet and has cinnamon and nutmeg elements lightly underneath. The flavor was sour tang with a hint of vinegar and some light ripe fruits towards the finish. fluids (364), USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 18, 2005 Very unique signature nose. Sawdust in the nose with dough. Huge white head. Beautiful caramel color. Caramel flavor first on the palate that tingles from effervescent the tail houses a slight bitterness that strikes a great balance from the caramel sweet front. sammy3D (114), Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 14, 2005 Poured from a bottle with red-brown color and a nice lasting head. Rich aroma with malty banana, vanilla and fig. The flavor follows the aromas with spicyness on the tongue, caramels, fruits and some bitter in the finish that helps balance the beer. Another great belgian beer. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2005 Bottle. Reddish=amber brown beer with a big beige head. Fruity (stone fruit) and malt aroma with some spice and yeast. Yeasty malt flavor with some dusty/earthiness and some background fruit. Depth in the malt. Nice complexity, but very drinkable.
