Deep mahogany with a tight, creamy, off-white head. It has a complex and inviting aroma with notes of malt, spice, raisined fruit, and a little alcohol. Body is more subtle than expected - malt and spice with a vinous finish.

This beer is a dark mahogany color with a thick beige head that never goes away. Thin, sticky lacing. The aroma consists of yeast, spices and some banana. Medium-bodied with flavors of fruit (cherry mostly), yeast, spices and a bit of alcohol. The flavor falls off a bit and it would have been a lot better with more malt flavor. The finish is vinous and somewhat bitter. All in all a pretty good Dubbel.

waited so long to buy this. So many times I passed it by because of the $9 price tag. Was not dissapointed in the least. A lot going on here. A dubbel no doubt, but had some other craziness flying around. A lot of other people described the characteristics better in their ratings, so just look on down. All you need to know from me is, don’t pass it by just because of the price. Just try it once

At first this seemed to just be another pedestrian belgian ale, but it was that it was too cold. As it warmed coffee and chocolate notes rose from the glass. Lots of bready character, but little to speak of in the way of fermentation characteristics. Worth seeking out, but it is not terribly complex. Serve it just below room temperature for the full flavor experience.

Good session brune with balanced nuts and fruits body. nice acidity with very little bitterness. Bready and cake characters on palate with hints of mocha caramel and pralines. The alcohol is comletely buried under the malt.

I have to admit that the name of Pierre Celis drew me to this bottle. Pours with a huge white head and a very deep ruby and brown body. Aroma is candied yams and apples with cinnamon. The taste is peach skins with some light nutmeg and dark bread. Relatively dry like many dubbels.

A nice surprise on a recent visit to Georgia. Very much like a spicy brown ale with the sweetness of the Dubbel. My next trip to Georgia will require me to pick up several more bottles.

Bottle;Reddish brown wth bigbubbled head, that quickly collapses. Aroma of hops and some diesel oil. Flavor is onedimensional and quite hoppy for a belgian beer without much maltiness. Bitter dry finish. A bit sharp.
