750ml bottle, 6.7%abv. Aroma is primarily malty and sweet with a good amount of dark brown sugar, has some yeast and fruity attributes though, contributing notes of pomegranate, red grape and faint plum, along with a less distinct doughy, musty hint and a slight flowery, herbal tinge. Deep, hazy, rusty red-brown color with a lasting, foamy off-white head and the lace in uneven sheets. Flavor is interesting and fairly consistent from start to finish, malty, roasty and lightly sweet with a juicy, tangy, fruity aspect lightly permeating, and in the background suggestions of milky chocolate, old wood and a very light bitterness. Mouthfeel is quite creamy and smoothly effervescent, body is medium-full. Mild-mannered but well-built. Thanks to Kinz!

Ruddy brown with a big beaded tan head. Sweet nose, quite yeasty, with coriander notes. Spicy, black pepper, light caramel and green apples blend in the flavor. Unfortunately, really overcarbonated.

Ruby-brown colour, generous head. Pleasant fruity and malt aroma. Dryish, maybe too much carbonation; nice malt and a hint of liquorice; pretty alcoholic finish. Ordinary palate, enough bitter but not enough aromatic.

750 ml bottle labeled as the Pierre Celis Signature Selection - no mention of caves. Aroma of yeast spice, light fruit, dark fruit, arguably citrus. Ruby color with a beige head that was vigorous and persisting. Kept climbing out of the bottle neck. Medium bodied; creamy carbonation. Dark fruit, touch of heat, wood, roasted malt. Very nice feel in the mouth. The finish is pretty dry, seems to have a citrus touch, leaves wood notes. Malt is noticeable, but it’s not a sweet ending. It is a great ending.

Nice dark amber color. Huge carbonation in the mouthfeel. Nice maltiness, with little to no hoppiness.

Near burgundy in color with an impressive tan head. Complex aromas filled with fruits and spices and a splash of yeast. Flavor profile sets it more along the lines of an Abbey Dubbel with black currants and pepper dominating the tastebuds. A wonderful treat from ’Da Man From Phoenix’.

Dark, but very transluscent -- on the table this stuff looks hazy, but held to light you can count the numerous protien/yeast clumps. Almost all malt in the aroma with a very wheaty overtone. A touch of styrian or some other noble hop spiciness. A very thorogh bready flavor and mouthfeel. This stuff is very nice.

Pours a nice brown, thick tan head. Aroma is yeast and candi sugar sweetness. Flavor has some dark fruits and spicy yeast. Quite carbonated and tingly mouthfeel. Nicely done dubbel.
