Aroma of yeast, cobwebs, cloves, somewhat horsey, slight banana. Appears a deep copper color, crystal clear, with a mountainous foamy cream-colored head that dissipates slowly. Flavor is subtle, like figs that have been soured. Palate is moderate but dry with huge effervescence. Overall, a strange brew, to my palate.

Sampled from bottle @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Brown colour, decent sized head. Very nice smell and taste of malts, caramel, slightly raisins and sweetness. Medium to full body and perfect carbonation. Very nice.

Russo (1635) - Campinas, BRAZIL - APR 9, 2014
Hazy brown color with an average off-white head. Aroma is fruity and roasted malts. Flavor is like the same with some woody, yeast and caramel hints. Low carbonation and a medium body with a slightly sweet finish.

Moebbels (241) - FINLAND - APR 3, 2014
Pours a hazy dark amber color with a fluffy tan head that settles down quickly. Nose has caramel, raisine and herbs. Taste is mellow, malty sweet and finishes with a mild bitterness. Carbonation is fairly high and the body feels nice and rich. Quite nice, stands out of the crowd in a positive way.

Nice brown beer. A bit sour and no burned malts. Caramel in the taste without being sweet. Interesting but not impressive.

330ml bottle. Pours a very very cloudy brown with thick white head. Pretty weak aroma but decent and hoppy with a little yeast. Really nice smooth mouth feel, hops and yeast followed with more yeast. Really nice after taste.

0,33L bottle. BB 17.09.2015, ABV 6,5%. Pours dark red amber with off white head. The head stays. Aroma is dark fruits, spices, and yeast. Taste is sweet, fruits, malt, medicinal flavors, spices, herbal, and little bit creamy. Overall: not bad, rather weird smelling and tasting beer.

AROMA: cereal, spruce, leaves, earthy, APPEARANCE: brown, clear, frothy, white foam, TASTE: lightly sour, medium bitterness, PALATE: medium body, sticky, average carbonation, bitter, long finish, OVERALL: excellent balance of sourness to bitterness and hop to malt to yeast aromas.

Aanrader !
