2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Previously Tasted, Home, New 330mL Bottle, Lager Glass, 7% ABV, Chilled, 16/05/12. #39.)
Appearance (2/5): Pours a perfectly clear, sparkling, extremely pale amber (like a pale white wine), with absolutely no head.
Aroma (4/10): Dominant green apple, tainted by a mild chemical note, with lemon and a little wine. Very simple.
Taste (5/10): A very sweet cider. Sweet, fresh apple juice (spoiled with that ugly chemical note) and a winey aftertaste when the alcohol kicks in (which by all means is still modest). Short and clean finish.
Palate (2/5): Very light body, lively carbonation, watery and slightly syrupy texture (like fruit juice) with a slightly sticky finish.
Overall (12/20): Not really a cider, more of a showcase for the fruit itself. Not much character, and that chemical/medicine note in the apples is disappointing, but very refreshing when served chilled on a hot day. Despite its boring and unrefined character, I could honestly drink it all day. Dangerously alcoholic, due to its great drinkability and 7% ABV.
Drinkability: 5/5. Character: 1/5. Buy Again: Probably Yes.

Pours a light golden colour. Not a lot here to brag about. Tart apple aromas and flavours...kind of boring...and the tartness is muted is kind of mild.

Clear pour with the aroma of sweet apples. Candy like apple taste with a slight sting of bitterness.

Like a finger head but leaves in like 5 seconds veary carbinaded & golden. Smell is rubber, letax, chemical smell w/granny smith apple smell. Taste is sugary sweet granny smith apple. sites heavy and burns in the belly a bit the 7%. More like a granny smith soda/wite wine apple flaved more then anything cider. Itís refreshing and nice but niot great.

clear 330ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours very pale yellow. No head. Weak aroma of sweet apples. Almost artificial in flavour. Think green Jolly Rancher. some bubblegum, Taste is extremely sweet no bitterness light-medium sourness. fizzy carbonation that later dies off. Itís a good cider if you know what youíre getting into--a sweet light (yet fairly heavy in alcohol) cider. Almost wine spritzer like--but far superior.

Originally rated July 2007. Canadian dry cider, comes in a 6 pack, in green bottles. Pours a light pear-like colour with a fizzy head that disappears quite fast. The carbonation is pretty intense, with lots of small bubbles, looking like Champagne. The taste reminds me of the sparkling wine, in the aftertaste, after going through a wave of sweet apples juices. Not super dry as written on the bottle, but still more on that side than on the sugary/syrupy side. This, I always found like a well-blended granny smith cider.
