COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
O.G. 1.042. 18 IBU’s. Named after America’s greatest brewing guru Captain Frederick Pabst. This beer simple blend of malt and hops brings to the palate what a true American Lager strives for; crisp, clean and refreshing finishing with a hint of hop flavor.

Tap at brewery. Pours clear straw color. Good lacing. Can't get much from the nose. Thin flavor and dry aftertaste. Ok.

Draft sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Light hops and loads of grain. Watery. Meh, nothing to seek out.

Has a really light grain wheat a scent, taste is similar as well, almost like a macro. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear straw, no head, thin streaks of lace. "The lager that forgot its taste." A true lite beer with a touch of bitter malt in the finish. I could detect no hops, but the flavor is so gentle, it’s hard to tell. Good for hot summer drinking (or maybe gulping!), but, otherwise, not enough to keep one’s interest.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges and barely laces. Aroma has notes of bread and grain with a bit of crisp lager yeast. Flavor starts with haysnd grain with crisp lager yeast and a bit of grassy hops in the finish.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Grumpy Troll in Mt. Horeb, WI. Appearance very cloudy slightly dark gold with no head, like a juice. Aroma nothing really there. Taste goes down very crisp, light hay, bit of noticeable hops, really good for the style. Very good.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Tap at the brewpub. Pale slightly hazy yellow pour with minimal white head. Corn on the nose. Lightly carbonated palate. Corn, grain, and mild earthy hop flavor.

Not one of the better pale lagers out there. It might be what a true American lager strives for, but that is shite anyways.

Pours a clear yellow with very clean appearance and a low head and amount of carbonation. Aroma is very faint overall with notes of pils malt and a "lagery" yeastiness. Very clean flavor profile. Grainy presence was subdue with a slight more sweet noble hops presence. Light hay finish. Very light on the palate, not much carbonation but doesn’t feel watery. Overall a very plain brew. Definitely one for the warm weather days.

(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon, florals, grain, and grass. Flavor of herbs, grass, and grain with a moderately bitter finish.
