2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy medium amber with a rim head and streaks of lace. Taste is light caramel malt with a slight medicinal flavor midway through, finsihing with a dissolving hoppiness. There is a nice balance here, compromised somewhat by a thin watery texture. Overall, drinkable, not notable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber red witha white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bread and grain with a hint of earthy grassy hops. Flavor starts with bread and grains and has a bit of grassy hops in the finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Grumpy Troll in Mt. Horeb, WI. Appearance a cloudy red tinged gold with thin white rim. Aroma of spicy hops, caramel malt, but not too prevalent. Taste also seems subdued, more malty than hoppy, its OK. Thought it was supposed to be more of a red ale than an amber ale, still not very good.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a clean brown/red color with a low head. Aroma has a modest maltiness to it, Vienna malt comes out nice, with a very light apple fruitiness to finish. Mild grainy flavors with some light Vienna toasted presence, light fruity flavor (similar to their wheat beer) - light pear and apple. Body is light, has a low carbonation and a very smooth even texture. Overall just an okay brew. Still keeps a bit more residual sweetness than typically seen in the style and it has a bit of an odd flavor at the end of the beer which I don’t know if its yeast or hops contributed.
