Tap at the brewpub. Copper pour with a white head. A little citrusy and a nice maltiness to balance it out. Very tasty and flavorful, much better than the 10 Lords, very good.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 deyholla (3528) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - APR 7, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces nicely. Aroma has a nice combo of grapefruit and pine with a grain backbone. Flavor begins with grapefruit that transitions to a bitter pine note with a bit of a light grain backing.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Grumpy Troll in Mt. Horeb, WI. Appearance is a cloudy caramel brown thin white head. Aroma unique english hops, light fruit, bit of malt, bit of yeast. Taste is pretty good, light burn, bit of fruit, rich in malt and hop, tastes more like a red. Pretty good.

I actually didn’t even know it was a DIPA when I tried it. It is a pretty tame DIPA.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Narnad (1147) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - JUN 21, 2011
Arrived a cloudy yellow/orange color with a quick fading white head. Light alcohol heat in the nose, sweet overall with a light citrus nose with a strong earthy note. Flavor has a very strong hot alcohol presence up front. Mild earthy and light orange citrus kick in the middle. Finishes with a continuance of the strong alcohol flavor, very much like rubbing alcohol. Body is light, coming from the alcohol lightening it up a bit too much and almost feels as though its drying out your tongue. Overall minus the alcohol hurt, not too bad of flavors present. But that rubbing alcohol kick really makes it hard to drink more than one of.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 cbfobes (1045) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 7, 2010
On tap at brewpub, I’m hoping I got a bad batch or something because this was not what I expected, pours an unclear orange color with no head, aroma is more malt than hops and the flavor is much of the same, very thick and not very enjoyable, hardly no hop notes to it. I’ll have to go back and give this one another shot.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 iabeerguy (360) - Iowa, USA - JUN 14, 2010
A nice IPA. This beer pours a orange color with a big white head. Lots of lacing around the glass that sticks throughout. Smell is floral with hops and citrus. A very smooth taste of citrus and hops. Good stuff!
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 madvike (1479) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 13, 2010
On tap at the brewpub - Amber pour with a small foamy white head. The hops are really muted on the nose. They don’t smell particularly fresh or pungent, with just a bit of citrus, light malt, and a bit of sharp booze. Taste is light citrus hops with tons of sweet malt and some grassy finishing hops. Too much heat on the finish though--you really feel the 8.5%. It’s medium-bodied, with a nice smooth body, but the imbalance of malt over hops is weird. Just didn’t expect that from this beer.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 arkurzynski (849) - West Bend, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 12, 2010
Bottle from brewery. Amber red with some head. Fairly light on the hopping for the style, at least in the nose. Ok bitterness. Not the best not the worst. Not a repeat.
