3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Grumpy Troll. Murky brown with a creamy slowly dissipating tan head. Aroma is grainy with toasted German malts and bland hops. A bit sweeter on the palate with toffee, toasted Munich malts and a light bitter finish. Kinda chewy.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Unfiltered thick brown-black body. Pretty solid Schwarzbier. Brown chocolate caramel tones. Rich, fresh, big specialty malt tones. Pretty much all you can ask for in the style. Right on.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at brewpub, pours a very dark brown with a red hue in the light and a thin tannish head, the aroma has a slight aroma of chocolate and malt, the flavor has a strong malt backbone with a finish of bitter chocolate and cocoa, very enjoyable.
