sitting at the brewpub now as I use the wi-fi hotspt to real time rate this beer. Im giddy as I love witbiers. This is well better than my expectation. A little sweet to taste, but not too much. As stated in my other Grumpy troll rates, better than expected.

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy light yellow pour. Orange and clove on the nose. Medium carbonated body. Good orange, wheat, and clove taste.

Not sure what the purpose of the name of this beer is but it is a standard APWA, not a witbier really.

Arrived a hazy yellow with a low white head. Aroma had a light banana, light lemon citrus fruitiness to it with a modest coriander spiciness and a solid wheat presence. Flavor started off with a lemon wheat combination first and a light coriander middle with just a touch of banana in the ending (very light). Body was crisp, kinda bubbly but very finely carbonated and a light body as a whole. Overall a very good wit (usually not my favorite style). Coriander isn’t overpowering as is commonly seen and the lemon is perfect to add that crisp feeling finish at the end.

On tap at the brewpub, pours a murky golden with a thin head, appearance really didn’t blow me away at all, kind of reminded me of very dirty water, the aroma has a decent amount of spice with clove and some sweetness, the flavor has touches of both clove with banana and coriander in the finish, meh.

No head, cloudy yellow. Slight orange aroma. Orange and coriander flavors, some malt sweetness. Medium-light body, dry finish. no hop aroma, flavors or finish. I liked this, almost a hefe.

On tap at the brewpub 7/31/09: Pours a hazy pale golden with a thin, clingy-lacing white head. Big orange and lemon citrus nose with a hint of coriander and light sweetness. Starts fairly full with a tart citric bite and a touch of coriander and sweet pale malt finishing drier and sweet tart. A pretty good citrusy witbier.

11/16/2007: Norwegian Wit is another hazy, gold-colored offering from Grumpty Troll. It has the typical orange and corriander flavors and soft palate.

Sample (draught) at the Grumpy Troll Brewery, Restaurant and Pizzeria in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. Rating #11 for this beer.

Murky gold with essentially no head. Bright but fading orange-juice aroma. Flavor is an absolute fruit basket, orange, pineapple, mango. Really a tropical juice cocktail balanced by coriander spice and a touch of hops bitterness. Noticeably still, but the palate is made interesting by a some clove and alcohol fire. Really a nice wit.

On tap at the Grumpy Troll Brew Pub. Poured a medium yellow color with a small sized head. Aromas of wheat with some spiciness. Tastes of fruitiness, bananas, citrus, and lighter spices.

Tap. Pours dark gold with a full head that quickly settles. Aroma is a wheat, yeast and citrus blend. Flavor is wheat and corriander start with a fruity finish. Has a lot in common with a good weiss beer. Creamy to the palate.
