COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Grumpy Troll’s treasure...this smooth and sweet gold is appreciated by all. This tasty brew caters to the domestic beer drinker but offers plenty of flavor and aroma for any beer lover. The same recipe as our gold ale, but brewed with a German Lager yeast and aged to perfection.

Clear pale orange in color with some rising fizz and virtually no head. Nearly a pils aroma, with some accents of buttery biscuits, lemons and sourdough. Refreshing, but that’s as far as I’ll go. Pils musk, paling lemon briskness. Staunch, moth-like characteristic that I can’t place, nor do I want to.

Harsh and grainy flavor yet smooth mouthfeel. Hints of corn and dry bitterness. Deep color. Dee says: grapefruits! and nuts!

Draught at the brewpub. Clear gold color with thin white head that didn’t leave any lace. Smells and tastes of light sprucy hops with a touch of celery. Crisp and clean finish.

The body was medium gold. The aroma was ham with some grass and raw potatoes. The taste was dirty potato skins with some sweet raw banana peppers. A strange beer.

On tap at the Brewpub. Rich gold color with a white head. Good lacing. Aroma is malty and sweet. Very close to a helles. Maybe a cross between that and malt liquor. Interesting and flavorful. A good beer made by some good people. friendly and fun place to visit.

The first beer I tried from this establishment (of a samplier), and hopefully my least favorite. Not real bad, but nothing special.

Golden body. Below-average amount of carbonation from what I’ve seen in the style. Minimal aroma. Bitter, dry flavor with unripe peach notes. Field corn starchiness underneath. I can appreciate how this beer has noticable flavor - it just isn’t that good.

On tap at the brewpub. Pale piss, no head. Weak sour apple nose, slight floral quality. Little flavor, American Standard, hints of hops. Standards, what standards?
