COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A classic lightly bittered oatmeal stout made in the Scottish tradition. The combination of full flavoured ale malt, oats, a slow cool fermentation and a low bittering level give us a very black ale with subtle roasted coffee and dark chocolate flavours balanced with the smooth creaminess of oats. The perfect pint for the fireside.

Black, poor head. All the requisite chocolate and coffee character without any roastiness or bitterness. On the sweet end of the spectrum but not overly so. A bit too "smooth" for my liking and not real and rough enough. Quite oily. Not bad, but not to my taste.
