2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the brewpub. An unclear, dark golden beer with a dense, white fingerthick head. The aroma has lots of Fox fruit caramel, really lots of it, with hints of pale malts. The same goes for the flavor, the Fox is all over, more or less hiding everything else, both malts and bitterness. That goes for the finish too. Full to medium body and a nice carbonation level. Well, this is too much of a good thing. Way too much. 140501

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small glass, 5.5 % abv, from tap at the brewpub. Fair amount of off-white head. Muddy orange-gold body. Fresh grassy and floral nose. Slightly perfumed taste, lemon, and grape as well. A little lemony tartness to the ending. Soft in the mouth. Medium bodied. Nice thirst quencher (Oslo 13.02.2014).

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Grunerløkka Brygghus. Served in a long thin glass. Looks OK with a light orangy/golden blurry body under a nice medium sized creamy surely lasting and lacing white top. Not to extreme on there nose but it has a nice fruity sweetness. Lemongrass? Well, I’m having a hard time identifying it initially. It’s there in tho taste though! Not sticking it’s head to much out but it’s there subtle creamy in there background. Above average on there carbonation this and it feels soft light oily in the mouth. A bit of birch and piney hops, I get a near earthy bitterness and it’s leaving quite a mouthdrying feeling in my mouth. A nice citrus grape bitterness towards the finish. Unless I’m mistaking this is my second lemongrass beer, and again, I don’t think it has an enormous effect on either the taste or aroma. At least it’s only peanuts compared to using it correctly in food. But by all means, it’s a good IPA nonetheless. 18.10.2013

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at the brewery in Oslo. The lemongrass smells like lime leaf and Trix or Fruity Pebbles cereal. Powdery sugar and nutri-sweet late. Syrupy, sweet, oily, watery... a big mess!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft (at the brewpub). Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), with notes of lemongrass, lime zest. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finishis lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Clear note of lemongrass is very genuine and pleasant. Not much else is notable, though...it’s like a basic golden ale otherwise.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Crowbar.
Lovely amber, creamy head. An IPA with the lemongrass filli9ng in the blanks, giving an intense flavour, would be splendid with spicy food. Citruss, grass. The pure lemongrass feel is in the tail.
