3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, - DEC 26, 2006
(Bottled) Hazy golden-amber color (opaque orange with yeast) with a very large, foamy and quite tight head. Very fruity, yeasty, banana-lemony, somewhat acidic and slightly sour aroma with some alcohol. Yeast adds orange to the aroma. Grainy-malty, quite alcoholic flavor with a moderately bitter hopping. Pretty acidic, too, with yeast. Medium-bodied, quite alcoholic, smooth-carbonated palate. The recipe is said to be based on one of St.Bernardusabdij’s. Maybe, but it doesn’t quite capture the complexity and balance of the original. The good thing is, that it avoids being too sweet - a common disease with Dutch brews. Quite drinkable and pleasant, once you get used to the alcoholic feel.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 maupie (908) - Roosendaal, NETHERLANDS - APR 16, 2012
After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a yeastythick dark blond and a honeysweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a malty touch . This beer smells to honey.

Bottle:
Small to medium white head which changes quick into a half open and mix of thin and thick airy lacing, on top of a cloudy yellow colored beer with something like an cloudy embryo thingy within this beer.
Smell green apples, sharper grains, yeast, meal, light oatmeal, light honey, light spices and sweet barleys.
Taste syrup, apples, honey, cotton candy, lightly sharper grains (seem to fade away with time), light spicy and a hints of alcohol warmth, some light older hop bitterness, light dry, some corn, sweet/sticky barley.
Aftertaste of light marzipan, corny grains, elder malty hops and syrup.
Low to lightly medium carbo, light tingly light spicy mouthfeel, medium body and a texture between watery and more creamy.
Strange ingredients, strange mix, strange beer.

30cl Bottle from Mitra Heerhugowaard. Clear copper golden colour, white head. Aroma of pale malts and apples. Flavour is light sweet, malts and apples at first, but then turns sharp with alcohol, grapes, like dry white wine, but not in a good way imo. Light bitter finish, medium bodied.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JensenTaster (1718) - DENMARK - JUN 11, 2009
(on bottle) Aged, cardboardish and sweet, very malted aroma. Over the top, but still potent. Mellow and soft carbonation. Sweet, frutish, ochard-like. Flattens out a bit, alcohol still way up there thuogh.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 dutchbeerpages (852) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - JUN 11, 2009
The foam is gone quick and it looks watery and you really have to sniff to get something. But then the magic begins, deep flavor that lingers, but it’s still easy to finish this beer somewhat too fast.
