COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grunn Amber is a full and malty beer with refermentation in the bottle. The use of different roasted malts gives this beer its full taste. The use of hops is clearly visible in this beer, which is brewn by the rules of the Bavarian 'Reinheitsgebot'.

Cloudy dark orange with a good-sized white head. Spicy aroma of orange and coriander. Bit of a pale and bland yeast flavor with a small spot of lemon zest. OK. Thanks to my buddy Oscar for bringing this to my from Holland.

Couldnt find anything interesting in this beer. It was not bad...but its not worth of remembering it. I only bought them to pay my respect to the Groningen local beer scene.

Nice foamy head. Taste has some metal, some spice and some light red fruit. Finish is dry and bitter. A boring beer.

Bottle at home. Hazy murky brown color with a thin white head. Aroma of spices and sugary malts, some clove, cinnamon and bread. Flavor is slightly sweet, spicy and with a bitter finish. Lively carbonation and a creamy texture.

30cl Bottle from Mitra Heerhugowaard. BB 09-2009. Clear dark amber colour, soapy off white head. Aroma of bready malts, caramel, light flowery. Flavour is light sweet, malty, caramel, gains chemical/artificial flavours towards the finish, a bit plastic-like, light bitter finish. Light bodied. Meh..

Bottle 30cl. @ [ Back2Bock Tasting ].
Clear light to medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, molasses. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081115]

Bottle. Nice malty smell, quite sweet (a little bit of cherries?) and light alcoholic. The head is normal, white and foamy, medium duration. The body is dark red. The first taste is a little bit bitter, but it disappears fast. The beer is light, a little bit dry with soft carbonation. Unfortunately the aroma is the best...

30 cL bottle. Pours slight cloudy dark amber to brown with a bubbly white head. Dense phenolic aroma with a distinct vegetable note. Light sweetness and mild roasted malty flavoured yet also with a distinct alcohol, yeasty and phenolic note into the finish.

300ml bottle (Cracked Kettle)
Rich amber, healthy tight head. Bocky malt aroma. Soft carbonation, very smooth in the mouth. Full bodied, slightly sweet and rich roasted malts, pleasant peppery and spicy hops too. Both stay for the finish. Alcohol not noticeable. All round decent brew.
