3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark brown from the bottle. The head is more fizzy than creamy and fades relatively quick. The beer has a fairly high level of carbonation. A sweet and bready aroma greets the nose, really more like Kuchen with lots of brown sugar than pumpernickel. A hint of dark fruit lingers in the background. Quite appealing actually. The beer starts off rich and lightly chocolate sweet before proceeding to a dry and bitter finish. The pumpernickel taste does come through, especially when you burp. Generally an agreeable brew, especially in taste and smell, but the palate seemed fizzy, oily, and yet still too thin all at the same time. Still liked this one though.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Piwo ma ladna piane bezowej barwy. Piwo ciemno brazowe z bordowym odcieniem, troche metnosci. Zapach lukrecji i zrumienionej skorki od chleba. W smaku slodowe, slodko karmelowe. Troche tego pumpernickela sie wyczuwa zwlaszcza w przelyku po przelknieciu i odczekaniu chwilke. Dodatkowo lukrecja i kukulki. Zytniowe akcenty takze sa na sam koniec. Ciekawe piwo choc za slodkie jak dla mnie, zabraklo mi tu palonego slodu itp akcentom

A very malty smell, some chocolate, light amount of roasted malt. The head is small, pale beige and creamy with a quite long duration. The body is black. A malty and rather bitter taste, a little bit metallic. The body is medium strong, very dry and light creamy with a lively carbonation.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours dark amber with a coppery hue and a small tan head. Strong and complex malty notes. Caramel and toffee notes along with grain, some roasted and coffee hints and fruity notes of plum and grapes. Light sweet start but turns pleasently dry and bitter soon and has strong bitter dry finish. Roasted and toasted flavors are dominating with good coffee notes and some pepper as well a light fruity touch and some spices. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Slight alcoholic warmth. Leaves a dry bitter aftertaste with some roasted aroma.
