Ziemlich dünnes Gebräu, nicht langanhaltender Schaum. Schmeckt nach Brot, wenn man drüber nachdenkt, ansonsten, Wasser, Wasser, Weser, ziemlich enttäuschende 0,33l Flasche.

330 ml bottle. BB 23/06/15. From bierzwerg.de.
Cloudy mid-brown colour with a small light tan head. Bready and biscuity aroma with sweetness, cookies and mild bitterness. The flavour is sweet biscuit malt, dark fruity notes, cookies and some bread. Quite nice but thin for a Porter. German porter.

Bottle 330ml. @ Assentoft tasting by Hansen - Zita.

[ As Gruthaus Pumpernickel Porter ].
Clear medium to dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, toffee, light roasted, bread notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, spicy - roasted bitter, pumper nickel bread, bread, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141122]

Rare geur. Iets van nat brood. De smaak in het zelfde als de geur alleen dan in mindere mate. Is mij iets te waterig. Geen andere smaken. Erg simpel. Hadden meer verwacht.

33cl bottle bb06/2015, Maruhn. Been looking forward to sampling this, a true local, historical Westfalian bread recipe waiting to happen to a fresh new brewery embracing the long-due motto "Not after, but before the Purity Law". / nose is more dry-malty Dunkel, with a slight fresh sourish rye/Pumpernickel edge. Medium-bodied, dry dark bread body, well balanced with almost no residual sweetness, plenty of grain character, mild rye spice with some nuts, minimal root vegetable. Late onset of potent Tettnang noble hop character: fresh herbal bitterness, mild citrus even. / else almost too mild and balanced, staying much beneath the potential of its ingredients and drinking almost like a Dunkel-lager/porter hybrid: shy coffee notes, earthy dark flour, generic roast. Almost like a modest educational instalment of Germany’s rich and varied bread culture in porter form, as much a hybrid of top and bottom fermented traditions as the Münster Alt style. [Cf.: BE BOM, bakery malts]

Calisky (1464) - ALSACE, FRANCE - DEC 12, 2014
Bottle trade with Mc Tapps. Corps moyen.

Bottle 33cl kindly shared by Calisky, a dark beer with low head. Nose is on dark chocolate and licorice. Aroma is on dry toasted grain, notes of butterscotch, burnt caramel, dry, light acidity, roasted notes, bit sharp, bitter and grassy hops, ok bitterness.

Bottle. Dark Brown color, small brownish head. Nice roast and chocolate Aromas, with caramel and toffee. Dry taste, with decent bitter finish. Medium body, low carbonation. Nice roasty aftertaste, some bitter chocolade. Nice beer, definitely underestimated. I’m glad I grabbed it from the shelf.
