Picked this up at Dranken Geers, Belgium, 31-10-09 Pours light gold with a white head. Some creamy vanilla, there is candy sugar showing, but little else, despite this I rather liked it. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.4

Not a complex brew at all. Nice spicy aroma though and a very fruity entrance. But somehow this is where the whole experience ends. Not a noteworthy aftertaste, no bitterness, clearly a lack of hops. This makes this beer not very beer-like. It’s more like water that has been enhanced to resemble beer.

Hazy blond body. White, rocky head. Fresh aroma of hops and flowers, the hop aroma is quite sharp. There is also some spicyness in the aroma (pepper). Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Quite nice. The aroma is very nice, but the flavour is quite dull. No complexity, badly balanced.

Sweetish malty slighlty grainy flavor with some yeasty hints. Has a sweetish malty bitter finish with some hints of yeast in the aftertaste.

Bottle, shared by Papsoe. A hazy, orange-yellow-golden beer with a small, white head. Grainy, fruity and hoppy nose, a bit weaker than I would prefer. Grainy flavor with a nice fruityness, finishing rather fruity. Medium body, dry. I guess the hoppy impression in the aroma is due to something else, don’t know what. Overall, the beer is a bit on the grainy side, with the gruit left in the background. (090514)
