Gruut brown beer has a deep brownish colour with a golden touch and develops a delicate and stable foam. The degustation is surprising but very pleasant. The beer has character and the presence of abundantly much taste.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a large amber brown head. Yeasty aroma, hints of peach, raisin, other dark fruits and a tiny bit of malt. Also a little bit of chocolate. Very, very smooth taste, a bit too smooth. More peach and chocolate, dark fruits, candy sugar and some dust. Alcohol is only prominent in the aftertaste, which again has peach. Oily palate, full body.

Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a tulip. ABV 8% Deep red to brown colour on the body, with a tall and thick off-white to light brown head, with good retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of red fruits, caramel, red grapes. Taste has lots of red stewed fruits, some molasses, sugar, some alcohol notes, caramel. Quite good. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Overall very nice and a warner too.
