Dark nut brown, ruby color, small off-white head. Dried dark fruits, dates, raisins, a bit papery. Medium-bodied. Raisins, dates, some caramel, somewhat cardboardish. Sweetish, malty. BB-date is soon, so maybe some kind of ageing noticed here. Decent, styleish abbey dubbel.

Bottle@Home. Vanilla, butterscotch, caramel, sweet aroma. Brown, fine beige head, good lace. Sweet, vanilla, butterscotch, caramel, light malty, no bitterness. Very much like Gouden Carolus Classic. Wouldn’t be surprised if it actually was GCC. Maybe just the same yeast?

Bottle. Hazy dark amber color, medium off white head. Aroma of caramel, toast. Taste is caramel, nuts, subtle dark fruit. Not bad.

A hazy light brown colored beer, with a thick beige head. The aroma cinnamon, some caramel. Notes of biscuiys. The taste is dry bitter, caramel notes with hints of sweet. The aftertaste is dry a little sweet and some spices.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Ruddy brown, small, but persistent creamy head. Spicy caramel aroma. Sweet spicy flavours. A bit too sweet.

Draft @ de paas. Aroma is molasses, spices, some murky malt. Flavour is some liquorice, spices, dusty malt. Meh.
