3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bartlebier (20) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - MAY 15, 2012
Despite its initial interesting malty, citrus nose, reminding me of an amateur Duvel with some alcohol perfume, this one tastewise went into a far more recognisable but less enticing dusty and sticky Belgian ale territory. Wearing its 9% on its sleeve, drinkable but falling short of its potential.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 meerbier (914) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle@Home. Soapy and lemon aroma. Golden, white head, good lace. Light malt sweet, light bitter, some citrus. Sparkling, light, alcohol hidden. Mega clean and boring.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 txspartan (668) - Wilrijk, BELGIUM - APR 29, 2012
Pretty odd aroma and flavour. Not quite sure how to describe it. Sugary and spicy.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 27, 2012
Bottled 330ml (Drink Shop, BB 05/2013)
Slightly hazy orange color, small steady white head. Spicey aroma has green apple, wet doggie and mango. Body and palate are suprisingly weak/thin for this ABV. Flavor has metal, fruityness (peach, lychee) and some alcohol in the finish. Not infernal at all. The worst of three Gruuts sampled.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Yves (1615) - Turnhout, BELGIUM - APR 26, 2012
Clear goldblond coloured beer with large white head and lots of carbonation. Full sparkling palate. Finish is bitter dry hoppy. Rather flat taste.

Bottle, 9%. Weak peppery aroma. Hazy golden colour. Good stable fluffy white head. The flavour is peppery, grainy and bit sour. Like many mass-produced strong Belgians.

(Botttled) Gigantic creamy head lives peacefully above glowing yellow streams of vibrant yeasty liquid. The nose speaks of flowery hops ,green apple and perfume. Quality ’Belgium’that I could happily drink till I cant remember my name.
