Gruut Wit

Bottle, 33 cl. (bought @ Hopduvel) Very cloudy yellow, with snowwhite bit sticky head. Aroma lsoft lemon, wheat malts. Medium body. Taste smooth mouthfeel, citrus wheat, yeast, spice, grainy malts. Good.

Gruut pours a hazy-cloudy pale white and yellow, produced a silky fine bubbled white head that thinned out, left creamy lacing on the glass, effervescence, aromas of the inside of orange and lemon skin, lemon citrus and coriander emerged, also, has faint sweetness and pale malt fragrances, flavors of wheat, lemon, coriander spice and faint malt, has a good dry finish, nice Wit.

Bottle, purs a hazy light yellow color with a nice frothy head. Aroma is wheat, lemon, yeast and some light bread notes. Flavor is lemony and yeasty. Smooth and creamy. I enjoyed this in the heat of the summer here in S Fla.

Bottle at the Williamsburg Gathering courtesy of LooseCannon. Hazy golden blonde pour. Small white head. Nose is very grainy with soft lemon, yeast and spice. Taste is soft wheat flavors, semi-sweet malts, dried fruit, light lemon and yeast. Rather tasty! Body is light and refreshing with a pleasant effervescence. Ends with more grains and wheat, soft lemon, yeast and spices. Bit better than most Belgian wits I’ve had.
