Draft @ Craft Pride (AUS). Light oak aroma. Dark, opaque brown color with a white head that disappears except for the edge. Very malty flavor with a very nicely balanced light oak flavor! Full bodied. I really like this scotch ale!

Poured from a bomber at 60 degrees. Pours dark red, light head. Smells of raisins, and booze. The raisins continue on the flavor profile with caramel. Very smooth. Sits nicely on the palate. Pretty good beer.

Bomber. Poured an unfiltered amber brown with a frothy beige and lots of lacing. Taste of caramel malts, toffee, oak, nutty, and scotch. Medium carbonation, thick body. Tasty!

From a flight, easily the best beer of the night. Lots of scotch and oak in the nose and taste. Good color. Smooth drinking. Really liked this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber orange. Aroma is sticky sweet. Big aroma. Alcohol is on the nose. Almost like a barley wine. Flavor is sticky sweet, malty, dry harsh wood, alcohol. Light light touch of peat but not much. Mossy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at a homebrew club meeting. Dark golden brown color with a thin tan head. Definitely smell the oak aged scotch. Great drinker, not hot for being over 8%.

Beerenberger (1563) - Fischer, Texas, USA - MAR 31, 2014
Sweet fruit, with hints of wood and smoke meet the nose. A cloudy copper pour with a mostly dissipating white head and no lacing. The palate is malt forward - velvety sweet, toasted malts, nutty, toffee, candy sugar, with hints of peat. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Creamy rich mouthfeel. Overall impression is that this is a winner. Rich, malty, smooth, and very satisfying. Would drink again.

On draft served in snifter. Light brown color thin white head. Mild scotchy malty aroma. Caramely toffee malt tones. I pick up hints of of the scotch and oak. Smooth clean mouthfeel. solid beer. Could be worse
