3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap. Golden honey color. Aroma only has a touch of honey, mostly wheat. Flavor is moderately sweet, not cloying at all. Flavors are wheat, earthy, caramel, and - of course - honey. The finish is the only time this begins to taste like mead, but it’s a pleasant finish.
Not at all what I expected from a honey ale. I was pleasantly surprised.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 7/20
Honey and touch of barnyard funk comprise the aroma. A one-finger, rapidly disappearing, white head sits above a slightly hazy honey pour. Sticky lacing apears after each sip. The taste is lightly sweet. Honey, hay, cinimon, culminating in a grainy and mildly bitter finish. There is a nice aftertaste of honey and funkiness. Overall, I found this to be a very pleasant beer. This is my first Guadalupe beer and I hope this one speaks for other styles to come.

Smells like alcohol and honey. Taste is the same. A bit strong tasting for what it is. Not especially drinkable, and was undercarbonated on tap at Rounders. Nothing special.

Pour growler. Clear golden color, with a white head. Grain, light grassy hops, a bit of sweetness, and herbal. Light, watery, easy drinking. And boring.

Underwhelming beer! Thin head. Dim malty notes. Flat. Bitter wash down. No hint of honey or any other spices. Uneventful beer. Like a blonde ale left in the fridge for a week to go flat. Skip it!

Growler shared by Bobby. Clear golden pour with a white head. Nice honey, floral hops, and some cracker. A bit of banana, grass, and maybe some herbal notes. The flavor is sweet bread, honey, and banana. Grassy and herbal hops, flowers, and cracker. Not bad.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a deep golden-amber with a high, pillowy, lacy head. Not surprisingly, the nose is honey, as well as stone fruit and herbs. Very rich and sweet on the front of the mouth, with some drying, herbal notes on the midpalate, Finishes long and goes back to a toffeed sweetness -- there’s a touch of metal on the finish that needs smoothed out. Good first beer; I look forward to seeing more from them.
