2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
500ml bottle (Iki, Vilnius)
Lime first, a bit spicy, and some butter. Sounds like an interesting foreign foodstuff! Alas, it’s a desperately pale lager, though it does have a fairly decent rocky white head. Taste is a bit weird. The retronasals have some salty butter. The body’s not quite vegetal, but is clearly made from husky grains and plantmatter. Palate is a bit thin and watery, and with crisp carbonation. Typical for a pale lager. Finish does have a bit of a bitter bite. Some indian spicy snacks bring out the butter, but don’t show any baby vomit, fortunately. Certainly quite full flavoured and interesting as a pale lager, but not actually that tasty, and in part a little flawed. Swings and roundabouts.
