The head is medium, the body dark and brown. Recommended drinking temperature 2-20°C! The taste is darkmalty, less roasty, creamy, fruity-aromatic. The aftertaste is long. Nice! 11/12/12/11/11/12

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33L Art drink series. Freshly brewed. Beautiful saturated dark red, thick foam. Caramel malt and feint floral hops. Lightly bitter. Full body (one of the most pleasant ones I had recently), creamy texture, very soft carbonation. Enjoyable finish of "roasted caramel". A good competitor in Dunkler Bock competition. P.S. Suits good with black pudding.

1l bottle (SOPP2009)
Woh - bread pudding! Big sweet malts and raisins. Slightly gravy-like taste, but apart from that, it’s very sweet and hugely full bodied. Rich toffeeness in the mouth, and the burnt corners of bread pudding.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
0,5L bottle. Dark red color, malty aroma. Fruity flavor, some malty, but alcohol taste is strong - too strong for good impressions.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sadly, I had a bottle of this one day after it’s best before date. It has not travelled or aged well, the high alcohol being its saving grace, keeping this beer drinkable. Lovely colour and appearance. Served in 1/2 pint dimple glass. Aroma was harsh esters and some caramel underneath hot alcohol. Flavour reminded me of an over-aged home brewed doppelbock. I can imagine what this beer would have tasted like fresh. Shame that it had to cross the equator and so long ago. Hope to find one closer to its home and try again.
