3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A hazed golden gueuze with a thick creamy and frothy white head. In aroma, smooth wheat, epsom slats, lactic points, horseblanket, quite nice. In mouth, a smooth gueuze with lactic character, ground cherries, smooth and refreshing. On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, July 13, 2011.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Pours a cloudy golden-orange with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Aroma, a bit mild for the style, is citrusy and tart along with some wood, light herbs and a hint of alcohol. Flavour has a touch of what I describe as "metal" at first but it dissipates and what’s left is quite good: Tart and sour, citrusy and woody -- almost like an easy-to-drink Lambic. Average to medium bodied. Well done, I thought it was quite good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught Huge, off-white dense head, over yellow beer, leaving shards of lace. Malts, citric, lemon and very "Bretty". Real gueuze flavour, citric as few, but surprisingly much less Cantillon-like than the bottled version. Light to medium bodied, obvious wheatslickness, very refreshing. Great, and interesting different version.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Delirium Cafe, Brussels. Hazy yellow, white head. Really sourish aroma, grapefruit and perfume. Sourish flavor, but also a bit watery, grassy, grapefruit, but a bit too thin. Sourish grapefruit finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 29, 2011 On tap. Translucent gold-amber, thin white ring for a head. Nose of pineapple, lemon, light cantillon brett in sweat and hay. More grapefruit, saddle, and sweat on the flavor, soft as it approaches doughy mid-palate. Very faint citrus throughout. Pleasant but not very unique or expressive, and I find it a bit sweet for a geuze. 847415

On tap. As a Gueuze lover I think this is an excellent exemplar. It’s easy to drink enough and it respects all the gueuze characteristics. I love it. Very good job.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
draft@Chez Moeder Lambic: 2011 version mix of 1 & 2 year old lambic’s, appearance is hazy yellow/orange with a white head that quickly disappears but laces, smell is only slightly sour with lots of slightly tart fruit, mainly lemons & limes, taste is a fresh & sweet tartness with sour lemon & orange peel as well as a slight aftertaste of sweet peach, slightly acidic, the slight acidity seems to be coming from the Cantillon, taste & body sort of reminds me of what you get when you leave a bottle of Fanta open for a long time, there is something soft drink like about this, interesting & nice gueuze but to me it doesn’t fit together with the established classics, this should change a lot with subsequent blends & with more age on it
