On tap at the Avenue Pub in NOLA. Pours a light amber with a white head. Nose is of funky cheese and lemon. Taste is the same funk and fruit. Fruit is sharper than in the bottled version Mouthfeel is medium-thin, tart, yet smooth. Very nice.

Cask at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas as part of my Pre-Wedding Celebrations. It pours slightly hazy golden yellow, with a thin white head. The nose is orange, tangy nectarine, peach, farmyard and wood. The taste is farmyard, wood, orange, tart peach, nectarine, lemon, touch of sweet pear, egg white sourness, with a dry-tart finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and prickly mouth-feel. Great balance. Delicious draft gueuze.

Had on tap at Moeder Lambic in Brussels. Pour is mostly transparent straw yellow with a tight off white head. The nose is nice, huge ridy chessy funk, light mineral note, sweet peach and some lemon with a touch of citrusy hop. The taste is less bright, notes of mineral and some lighter rindy funk. Light spice to it with a fair bit of sweetness in the back, light lemon and very subtle sourness. The body is light and airy, a bit active on the back of the tongue, not very dry and strong carbonation. Well rounded and tasty, a touch flabby, not as expresssive as 3F but decen funk. Should have a strong future.

3fourths (8055) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 27, 2012
draft at Avenue Pub in New Orleans. hazed gold with a fine white head. what I remember most about the bottled 2010-2011 version was how powerfully musty and lactic it was, along with the tongue-scraping sourness and prickly acidity; it was strongly minerallic and the yeast was horsey and rustic. the draft version comes across as less acidic, less sour, less horsey and musty, more sweet and estery with touches of apricot, lemon zest and peach. the body is noticeably thinner (though not too thin) compared to the bottled version, and the finish is less coarse and bold. it’s a more delicate, softer, fruitier, less-dry blend. if this is still only a blend of 1 & 2 year lambic then all of this makes sense.

1/21/12. On tap... obviously. Cloudy pale yellow pour with a nice off-white head that sticks. Slightly funky, tart aroma with plenty of wood and vanilla as well. Lovely tart flavor, not too acidic, with wood and vanilla, with sweet tarts and lemon peel. Very, very nice.

On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with large creamy white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is citrus, clove and spice. Medium mouthfeel with a dry fruit and cereal with a nice light dry finish. A very impressive Gueuze from Tilquin.

Westmeister (1764) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 8, 2012
Pours a hazy cloudy yellow with tall white head. Smell is lemon tart, funk (slight burnt rubber), musty and sweat. Taste starts with the tart lemon, but it is refreshingly nice and then lends to the barnyard funk. The lactic acid lingers. Nice.

Draft at Novare. Had this after they kicked the Cantillon Fou Foune tap during Beer Geek Christmas and was pleasantly surprised. Hazy, golden yellow color with tons of carbonation. Aroma is mostly lemon citrus with a hint of barnyard. Taste is tart citrus, good carbonation, dry finish. Could have drank it all night.
