On tap @ Spuyten Duyvil for Zwanze Day 2012. Pours a dark cloudy brass color with a thin and quickly dissipating bone shaded head. The aroma is funky with lemon, apples, champagne yeast, and barnyard. On the plate the tartness is milder than many others in the style. The flavor profile slowly develops and intensifies with green apples, lemons, and a very mild doughy sweetness. The mouthfeel is very round and soft with low acidity. Loved it.

Aroma: not sure -- perhaps old beer bottles? Appearance: straw with billowy head that dissipates quickly; Taste: sour; tastes better than the smell; similar to Saison Brett but more funky; Chardonnay-like; Palate: medium body with dry, grapey finish; Overall: not my favorite.

Pour on tap at HopCat, clear golden pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of tart lemon, cheese, funk, oak, dust, slight earthy notes. Taste was a mix of oak, funk, slight lemon, vanilla into a bit of earth, some cheesy notes, finishing tart, funky. Delicious.
