Flavor has a moderate bitterness, from the beginning to the end, cascade hops are strongly present. Moderate dense on palate with a final with hints of caramel and with a decent and long bitterness. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium to high. Texture is slightly oily.

75cl bottle at El Pedal, Madrid. Pours black with a small, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, hops and fruits. Medium to full body. Well crafted with alcohol well integrated. Sweet and delicious dark chocolate followed by a nice, slightly citrusy bitterness. Quite hoppy, reminds me of Black IPA. Very nice! (2012-08-17)

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 GBZ59 (604) - BARCELONA (Catalonia), SPAIN - JUN 10, 2012
Grifo. Paladar aterciopelado. Cuerpo intenso a medio y carbonatación suave. El ABV queda perfectamente enmascarado en una deliciosa cerveza basada en el malteado intenso. Saciante como una Porter y de amargor límpido como una IPA.
On-tap. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on jun´12 –at Mediona Beer Fair 2012- Pours pitch black with beige, creamy froth. Good retention & lacing rings. Herbal, floral, roasted sweet malt aromas, fudge chocolate hues. Creamy & viscous upfront then increasing hoppy touch provides sharp bitterness lingering into the finish. Toasted coffee bean notes in the middle. Velvet palate. Full to medium body, soft carbonation,. Dried coffee bean lasting finish. ABV perfectly masked by a delightful malty backbone beer. Satiating as a Porter, clean bitter as an IPA.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Beerofthedeath (28) - - MAY 23, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2012 Color negro, espuma marrón claro poco densa pero persistente que acompaña hasta el final. Aroma a maltas retostadas, café, chocolate, frutos secos y a lúpulo. Sabor empieza como una stout cafetosa y densa y pronto se transforma en una Ipa, una mezcla muy bien compensada a la vez que compleja, con un final seco cítrico y chocolate dejando claro los ibus que tiene la cerveza. Muy buena
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 CamdenD (980) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAY 20, 2012
An even better offering than the oak-aged IIPA from Guinea Pigs. The smoke and hops combo aroma is winning and the taste is full on porter. The mouthfeel however seems lost between a ’black ipa’ and a porter. A bit of chalk clouds the bite of a black IPA and hops deaden the otherwise porter-like front-taste. Nevertheless, this is an excellent beer and again representative of some of the great new beer coming out of Spain. Seek it!
