Shared bottle at the RBNAG-11 grand tasting. Murky, deep brown with a creamy, light brown film. Roasted and pickled notes and dried fruits on the nose. Acidic, with all of the aromas intact. Medium to full body and a dry tongue. Not sure whether the acidic flavor base was intentional, but I quite liked it.

A rich super sweet aroma. Hmm. Thankfully the flavor isn’t as sweet as the aroma but it’s definitely rich and full of chocolate notes. Chewy at times. Pretty good.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 teddybeer (1484) - Madrid, SPAIN - SEP 25, 2011
Bottle 33cl. Dark brown with beige head, not very persistent. Aroma to chocolate and coffee. Medium sweetness and some coffee taste. Moderate body with a little bit carbonation. Not very hopped in the aftertaste. Any way one of the best dark beer brewed for a microbrew in Spain.

bottle... light black body with a thick tan head, good looking... sweet nose of molasses and vanilla, but also some roast and almonds, smells good, but I can tell this beer is going to be thin... the taste is a bit more muted than the nose, vanilla with light roasted coffe, a bit of cocoa nibs... mouthfeel is bad, thin and way overcarbonated..solid

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 nimbleprop (3004) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUN 27, 2011
4oz pour at Max’s Rare and Obscure Beer Week Part 4. Pours a watery, translucent, almost black with a thin, eggshell head. Nose is sweet, sugary, almost like an under baked batch of cookies. Flavor is malty, sweet, an artificial chocolate flavor like Tootsie rolls. Something is just a bit off. Medium bodied, sweet finish.
